Opera Software launched the latest update to its desktop browser, Opera 6.02 for Windows and 6.0 for Linux.

Microsoft is pressing .Net Passport users to install a patch for some versions of its browser nearly two months after it fixed a security flaw that threatens their personal data online.

Amaya is a browser/authoring tool from W3C that allows you to publish documents on the Web. It is used to demonstrate and test many of the new developments in Web protocols and data formats. Given the very fast moving nature of Web technology, Amaya has a central role to play. It is versatile and extensible and is available on both Unix and Windows '95/NT platforms.

There is a new cumulative patch for Internet Explorer 5.5 and 6.0 that, when installed, eliminates all previously discussed security vulnerabilities affecting IE 5.5 and IE 6. In addition, it eliminates three newly discovered vulnerabilities.
